A beautiful piece of nature between Oldezaal and Hengelo. There are a few beautiful hiking trails, short and very long.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice best nature. Nowadays the projects of the Province Overijssel in The Netherlands are very beautifully developed.
Did you know that there is also a German bunker of WW2 almost completely in tact in this area. The airport Twente played a very important role for the German offense and defense against the allied forces. Especially the planes which flew over to bomb the German Ruhrgebiet.
Also I heard that al lot of V1s were launched from this airport.
Now the province has created very nice paths to wander and walk around. Also cylcling is very popular; almost no cars to be detected!
