Great immersive course for Expats that want to learn Dutch in a very fun way. Albert is amazing.

The most important thing I gained from Talencoach’s Dutch Brainwash course is the confidence to start speaking Dutch to people. I found Talencoach’s ability to explain how a language works and how to “decode” it easy to understand. He presents in a structured yet informal and fun approach to learning a language most effective. (I believe we learn best when laughing, and Talencoach only reinforced that belief!) I also appreciated the small class size and the intensive nature of the class, I think it helped solidify the basics and gives a great foundation to build on.

Albert creates a safe atmosphere to start speaking and making mistakes :) independent of which beginner level you are. The course is held in English that made me first skeptical since the goal was to learn and SPEAK Dutch, however I learnt to appreciate it very soon. You really need to understand what’s going on around you and not be hammered with pronunciation, difficult grammar rules and bunch of new words that totally demotivate you. Albert manages to combine a good joke with some grammar and new vocabulary so it stays with you forever ? The group is mixed. So, there are people who never learnt any language and started the day he/she came to Albert with those who has been leaving in NL for a while but do not use the language actively. Having learnt German and English as a foreign language, it was easy for me to dive in and anticipate many things. Still Albert was successful to challenge me and everybody every day. It is of course everybody’s choice how much you are willing to take from these 7 days. I felt encouraged and was going out and practiced the language as much as I could. Albert provides a solid base for it. You, as a student, still need to do the job and practice practice practice. It’s been now 10 days since I am back from NL and I’m glad to get every morning a mail from Albert with exercises for the day. You repeat what you learnt. The exercise takes you 5 to 10 minutes and this is awesome since we are all busy with work and family. I am looking forward to Brain Wash 2, the investment is worth every cent. Albert, thank you again! Great job!

I travelled from Ireland to Amsterdam to attend one of Albert’s courses. It was hands down the best investment I could have made in taking control of learning the Dutch language. Albert knows a lot about the psychology of learning foreign languages and it shows in his teaching methods. He created a warm, welcoming environment for everyone to learn with plenty of good humour, coffee and Stroopwafels to go around. He is very prepared and you can tell has put enormous effort into preparing his courses. He taught us the Dutch language in a logical step by step way, with each day building upon the next. It was all I had hoped for and more. You will leave his classroom feeling confident and proud of all you have learned but more importantly, inspired and ready to learn more. I can’t wait to return post covid to continue my Dutch language learning journey. Easily 5 stars for Albert and his talent as a teacher.

Albert helped me to demystify Dutch, to think "easy", to realize that it is possible to learn Dutch in a light, pleasant way. I really recommend this course with all my heart. Thank you Albert!!

Albert has a love for languages and a love of sharing learning in a fun and clear way. I joined the Dutch Brainwash course without a clear idea of what to expect, a little nervous and a bit overwhelmed by the Dutch language. By the end of the course Albert had helped me to overcome with, I'm now much happier to practice Dutch with my family and friends whilst not being afraid of making a mistake. I recommend this course to anyone that finds Dutch difficult to learn by themselves or through traditional learning.

Albert’s passion for learning languages is contagious. He thinks outside the box. He teaches, not only “formal Dutch” but also “real Dutch”. He teaches with humor and kindness, and creates a safe environment to make mistakes and grow. The wealth of material he supplies to his students is simply incredible. He was able to jumpstart my Dutch by leaps and bounds and I recommend him fully.
