Be clear on your expectations to Fransis as clarity in communication is generally appreciated in the Netherlands. Tell her what you can (hard skills), who you are (soft skills) and your expectations. Even if you are not completely sure on your skills and qualities, Fransis can also help you crystallise the ideas understanding your position in the Dutch job market.
Fransis helped me greatly in polishing my CV and motivation letter with a Dutch touch, also during my interview preparation and salary negotiation. The most valuable insight I’ve learnt from Fransis is how Dutch employers truly want to see applicants as their genuine self, which is almost the exact opposite in most countries. I had the advantage of speaking/ writing C1 level Dutch when I started my job search in Groningen, but don’t think I would haven done so well in my interview and landed an ideal job after only 2,5 months without Fransis’ advice. Particularly that was during the 2020 COVID unemployment wave.
