And after several times visiting, I have to say they serve the best Cantonese food in Amsterdam, very authentic, old style, and with good price!

Gave 5 start only because of the taste of food.
Their sambal sauce is to die for. :)
We both had ordered Meinfoon. It was awesome!!
We had reservations because of the ambience!
It does not have a very restaurant like ambience but more to-go or cafe like.interiors are dated. Some tables are really near the counter and washbasin with uncomfortable noise.

β β β β β Nice Chinese food. Nothing to complain. If you are sick of burger and fries , walk in to this restaurant and try out. The portion is quite big, the fried rice with egg and the veg can feed 4 adults.

β β β β β A very authentic Southern Chinese restaurant, we ordered the hot claypot rice, it is a MUST, so delicious, although it wasn't cooked as long as I would like, and don't have the crunchy rice bottom, but it's good enough. We also ordered the Sichuanese spicy beef platter, fried young green shoot with garlic and tofu, shrimp, squid and pork skin in hot pot, all recommended. I do think their dishes are a bit on the salty side though, this can be improved.
Then I came the second night in a row, and we ordered the drunken chicken hot pot, the soup base was excellent, and they offered home made beef ball, shrimp ball, and cuttlefish ball, love them all. But their beef slices weren't so fresh, but drunken chicken was good!

The food is great and the atmosphere is also different in a good way.
The waitress was really kind and the portions are huge.
Price is also very competitive.

β β β β β Ordered the wantan soup and sweet and sour pork. The food quality was high and the pork had good texture and balanced flavor. Besides western-chinese food I also saw more authentic dishes on the menu, will try them next time. It is nice that this restaurant is open till late. Quality good slightly pricey.

β β β β β Great authentic Chinese cuisine. Rich flavors, lots of choices in the menu and generous portions. For Dim Sum we had some scallops and shrimp spring rolls; both very tasty. For the entrees, we had the Peking duck with Chinese crepes and some beef with cashews in spicy sauce. Both were very good.
