★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice restaurant in the historic centre of Gouda. Good food for a reasonable price. Cosy interior, you can go here for a romantic dinner, with your friends or family, nice relaxed place. In the summer you can sit outside on the terras next to one of the historic channels. If you want to have a taste of a typical Dutch place, go!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious plentiful food, best fries we had this trip (and maybe ever), beautiful setting on the canal-side. Lovely atmosphere with the place pretty full of visitors and locals (one of which taught us the proper technique to eat mussels!) We both had starters and mains and were more than full at the end, after a long day's cycle trip. We asked for the tuna cooked rare and they forgot this, but almost immediately after giving it to us, told us and offered to redo it, before we even questioned it. The redone tuna was excellent. Definitely recommend for the food and romantic setting just a little away from the main busy square

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were on a “tasty walk” the other day in beautifull Gouda. It was cold and windy and me and my walking partner were hungry and in need of warmth in our belly.
We take away’d the speciality of Kamphuisen restaurant: the portuguese prepared mussels. For more than 20 years on their menu, I understood that this food was crafted to perfection. A very tasy, comfy and filling dish. The sauce was rich yet not too salty despite the chorizo addition. Really balanced flavors. Can really recommend visiting this gem ;)
