★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With an airbase in Twente, an IJssellinie at Deventer and American rockets in Darp, Overijssel was in the middle of it: the cold war. This armed peace between the NATO countries in Western Europe and the Warsaw Pact in the East lasted from immediately after the Second World War to the Fall of the Wall in 1989. That exciting period is central to a new Cold War Museum to be built at Teuge airport. With airplanes, tanks and historical exhibitions, the decades of 'the bomb', the Cuba crisis and the arms race are coming back to life. The first steps for the museum have now been taken. Initiators Lex Versteeg and Peter van de Noort focus on various target groups with their museum. Naturally everyone who has consciously experienced the cold war, but also young people who were born well after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The first aircraft for the museum have already been purchased. The hangar already has a Mig-23 fighter jet from the Czech Air Force and an F-104 Starfighter that served at the Twente Air Force Base. Versteeg and Van de Noort expect to take another year and a half to get the museum ready for visitors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place to learn your AFF! The teachers are super kind. I heard, compared to other sky diving spots, its really fast (the amount of jumps you can do in one day) and quite cheap :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fun place to go with good food and drinks. Pleasant staff though some a little inexperienced. Especially when the sun is out and the planes are flying there's a lot to look at. Today there were also a lot of parachutists out. I would definitely recommend this place.
