β β β β β I was here in 2008 and enjoyed my visit very much. The collection cannot be compared with prestigeous foreign collections, but the exceptional setting with its authentic feel of historical significance is more than just a compensation. It is a pity I cannot publish more pictures, but most got lost. Highly recommended museum!

β β β β β Very old-school museum. You don't get them old-schooler (or however you call this). Different rooms, different themes around the popularization of science in Europe. Not really child-friendly, but a quick browse through the halls and corridors by your adolescent offspring, could turn out to be a cool experience.

β β β β β A great hidden gem - booked it then realised I would have to get a train to Haarlem - well worth the trip. Excellent museum with hundreds of old lab instruments and specimens. Probably one of the best museums in the region if you like the sciences

β β β β β It's a gigantic museum with one of, if not the biggest collection I've ever seen, from old tokens/coins to Michelangelo's fascism scripts and everything in between. I went here with my class and even though we only had an hour or so, that was a very fun hour.
9/10 Definitely recommend

β β β β β Very nice museum! Little bites of everything from ancient dinosaurs to industrial revolution. Interesting pieces of history. And the building itself is just beautiful. Very lovely place and nice employees there ??

β β β β β Super cool museum, I loved that you could look at old masters sketches and handle them yourself! Theres something special about holding artwork in your hand instead of looking at it on a wall.

β β β β β We visited this museum on a sunny Saturday in March and it wasn't busy at all. There are a lot of different things to see, dinosaur bones, fossils, stones, paintings and also scientific instruments. What is also very beautiful about the museum is the architecture of the museum itself. We also enjoyed visiting the Teyler house, and reading about Pieter Teyler.
