Op elk moment van het jaar word je getrakteerd op allerlei extra lekkernijen voor de zintuigen. Nu is het de hei. Ziet er prachtig uit, ruikt heerlijk en als je je oren openhoudt, krijg je er ook het geluid van bloeiende hei bij ;-)! The heather is in bloom here in the second half of August; you have to see it, it's beautiful! Texel is always beautiful. At any time of the year you will be treated to all kinds of extra treats for the senses. Now it's the heather. Looks beautiful, smells wonderful and if you keep your ears open, you will also get the sound of flowering heather ;-)!
K	Kees L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prachtig natuurgebied. Wij waren er in Maart en hebben prachtig kunnen wandelen. Hier en daar wat drassig dus stevig schoeisel aanbevolen, helaas hadden wij hier niet aan gedacht. De reden dat we geen 5 sterren geven is dat we geen grote grazers hebben gezien, dit was heel teleurstellend alleen realiseren we ons dat het natuurgebied hier ook niet aan kan doen. Ook mooi dat de natuur niet op bestelling kan. Beautiful nature reserve. We were there in March and had a wonderful walk. A bit swampy here and there, so sturdy footwear is recommended, unfortunately we had not thought of this. The reason we don't give 5 stars is that we didn't see any large grazers, this was very disappointing, only we realize that the nature reserve can't help this either. It's also nice that nature can't be ordered.
W	Wim Ploeg on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De Bollekamer is een prachtig duingebied tussen Hoornderslag en Jan Ayeslag op Texel met verschillende wandelpaden. Je kunt zomaar oog in oog staan met exmoorpony’s of schotse hooglanders, gallowaykoeien of schapen. Ik adviseer je om deze schattige dieren op afstand te bekijken je weet namelijk nooit wat ze gaan doen. Al hebben sommige koeien geen horens, ze zijn wel gevaarlijk. In de zomer kleuren de duinen paars van de heide. In de herfst willen de paden nog weleens wat ‘soppig’ zijn. Dit geeft wel een extra dimensie aan dit gebied. Ik zou zeggen: Geniet ervan! De Bollekamer is a beautiful dune area between Hoornderslag and Jan Ayeslag on Texel with various hiking trails. You can just come face to face with Exmoor ponies or Scottish Highlanders, Galloway cows or sheep. I advise you to watch these cute animals from a distance because you never know what they will do. Although some cows have no horns, they are dangerous. In the summer the dunes turn purple from the heath. In the fall, the paths can sometimes be a bit 'soggy'. This gives an extra dimension to this area. I would say: Enjoy!
