β β β β β We had the time of our lives. Coming from South Africa, I was hoping their collection on the Dutch East India Company in South Africa would have been larger, but other than that, it was amazing to behold

β β β β β A really high class museum about a maritime history of the Netherlands in an old navy armory and reconstructed VOC ship. The in house exhibits seem very well funded and up to date. The ship is great fun for adults and kids a like.

β β β β β I attended a candlelit Concert in this beautiful museum. Its stunning from walking along the river in the late evening sun and after the sun went down. The concert was amazing in no small part the the atmosphere and this stunning venue.

β β β β β Wonderful museum for an afternoon visit. You get to be on a real ship, see the private boat of the king and also learn a lot about history and navigation. Really interesting and definitely worth it

β β β β β I enjoyed this more than I expected. Nice overview of Amsterdam's Maritime history. Impressive art collection. The self-paced audio tour worked smoothly and gave a great summary of the highlights of each room. The building itself is very impressive and the hands-on tour of the full scale replica of an historic sailing vessel was the highlight. 2-3 hours to see and read almost everything. 1-2 to buzz thru and have the experience.
