★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice spot to have some drinks, lunch or dine. The River is located at the canal De Vliet and has a big terras to enjoy outside.
Yesterday we reserved a table for 3 in the evening. It was crowded because of the beautiful weather but it was nice to be there and enjoy the evening. Because of the large volume of guests, getting served took longer than expected but that's fine. It's more the fact that we were served later than other tables that got their tables later than us. Plus the fact that side-disches where delivered after we finished our main courses. We made a remark of that to the nice waitress who served us the entire evening but she couldn't help out. So full cheque and no gesture from their side to offer a coffee on the house or something. Only the promise that the kitchen would be informed. Besides an incomplete meal we enjoyed our evening outside and even left a tip for the hard working waitress.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location is good that is when the bridge is not open and some cars keep their engine running. Staff some friendly others started not so friendly... put away your bike... better was .. do you want to drink something and can you please put your bike on the other side?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely location, friendly staff, food very tasty. Reason for only 3 stars. Twice on different days ordered a sandwich Mozarella pesto tomato and basil. First order came with rucola instead of basil. I don’t like rucola so specifically asked for the advertised basil. Still didn’t get it. Liked it but wonder why do you specify basil on your menu when it is NOT on the sandwich?? Foto for proof no basil… two twigs of ??? Something else..
