About Theo Groothuizen
De Cartoon Art School biedt je de mogelijkheid om je creatieve talent op een ontspannen en leerzame manier verder te ontwikkelen.
Elke zaterdagmiddag zijn er twee lesgroepen. De 1e groep is van 13:30 tot 15:00 uur en is bestemd voor de leeftijd van 8 t/m 13 jaar. De 2e groep is van 15:30 tot 17:30 uur en is bestemd voor de leeftijd 14 t/m 25 jaar. Tijdens de lessen leer je o.a. hoe je kunt schetsen, sneltekenen, stileren, inkten, kleuren. Daarnaast leer je het ontwikkelen van originele karakters, stripverhaaltjes, illustraties en logo's. Het belangrijkste doel is dat je... door veel te tekenen... je eigen stijl leert kennen!

Je kunt kiezen uit lespakketten bestaande uit 6, 12 of 24 lessen. Een lespakket kan gebruikt worden als stempelkaart. Schrijf je in of kom spontaan langs Luttik Oudorp 79e in Alkmaar voor een gratis proefles!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just witnessed an outrageous scene. The workers mixed up the prices on the display and their computer, accused the buyer in deceiving them and kicked her out of the store! How it is possible, people?!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible and humiliating experience. Yesterday I was buying brushes as a Christmas present to my husband in this shop. I chose a couple of flat Kolinsky sable: No.10 and No.12. The prices at the price tags were between €11 and 15. At the cash register it turned out that one of them costs twice as much - 30 euros! The cashier said that they probably made a mistake with the price tag and called the owner. The owner came down and, not looking at the situation, immediately started yelling at me, either I buy this brush at the named price, or I leave. I pointed out that they should sell the product in accordance with the price that they advertise in the shop. He sarcastically offered me to hire a lawyer to prove that they're wrong. Moreover, according to the owner, “I knew the real prices and, seeing that they made a mistake, I tried to take advantage of the situation and deliberately chose this brush”! I was shocked by such accusations and aggressive behavior towards their customer and left the shop in tears. I will never come back to this shop.

The store used to be a bit bigger if I remember correctly, now they mostly carry the basic stuff with some really nice surprises here and there.
Overal a good place for a quick stop for much needed basic supplies!
