★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super museum, lovely, enthusiastic, helpful staff. Amazing remains, complete floors and underfloors, showing exactly how a bath house used to look like. Fab experience. Must visit. Great counterpart to Archeon and Rijksmuseum voor Oudheden.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4 starts only because the permanent exhibition was closed during the visit (Couple months ago). Otherwise it's an excellent site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to visit if you want to learn more on the history of the Romans in the Netherlands, also with younger kids (minimum age 4). Children receive a coin which looks like the one dug up at the scene (which is a nice way to get them interested in the collected artifacts behind glass). The visualisation of the fire pit and swimming pool made the museum come to live. Several video/interactive touch screens also help understand the live of people in that time period.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you like Roman history, as I do, this is a place you need to visit. You need to see it in perspective of Roman remains in The Netherlands. There are not so many “complete” remains like in other countries. The museum is well made and gives a good overview of this large-scale bathhouse.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great! 3d animations that explain the Roman period and then you find the impressive thermae, always with 3D animation on it and audioguide. Great place :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and small museum, a very good impression of what was Heerlen during the Roman Times. The presentation of 12 minutes is really well done, worth to see it. And the soap bars they sell smell just delicious!
