This takeaway is not really great. They don't have spicy nasi unfortunately. The rest of products taste good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hoewel erg lekker gaat er telkens wat mis bij bestellingen. Of er is iets vergeten of je krijgt wat anders dan je hebt besteld, dan wel dat dat je onderdelen van het eten koud mee krijgt. Dus zoals vanouds: vertrouwen is goed maar controle is beter.
Although very tasty, something always goes wrong with orders. Or something has been forgotten or you get something different than what you ordered, or that you get parts of the food cold. So as usual: trust is good but control is better.

Thuis gesmuld van mijn warme lemper en risoles als lunch. Wat een vondst deze Toko, de geur en smaken vanuit mijn jeugd kwamen terug. Als kind van Indonesische (voor)ouders werd ik zowaar een beetje emotioneel van zoveel herkenning.
Just got to taste delicious dishes in the store. What a lovely owner too!
Enjoyed my warm lemper and risoles for lunch at home. What a find this Toko, the smell and flavors from my youth came back. As a child of Indonesian (ancestors) parents, I actually got a bit emotional from so much recognition.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As an Indonesian living in London, it's hard to come by a really good Indonesian restaurant. So when we visited the Netherlands, through our friend's recommendation, we tried Toko Kampung Daun and it's the best Indonesian food that I've had in a loooong time.
This is why you should come:
1. Great food - we had satay, fish, rendang, vegetables, nasi rames, and dessert (cendol and es campur). It was definitely cooked to perfection, the Indonesian flavor really stands out, very authentic Indonesian taste. Owner & chef are Indonesian Dutch.
2. Amazing friendly service - owner and staff are really friendly. You can tell he is really passionate in providing the best dining experience to his customers.
3. Clean environment - very important for us
4. Great interior & environment - very creative interior decor with a nice Indo touch (the wayang display, old Indonesian newspaper in the entrance, etc). It's very cosy.
5. Selection of Indonesian snacks - they sell some Indonesian snacks that you can take home!
If you are visiting like me, it is definitely worth the trip to Zoetemeer. If you live in the Netherlands, make sure you give them a try!!
