Very friendly staff, tons of information and brochures for all kinds of events. A highlight in my eyes is the bike rental!

Die Promenade den Rhein entlang ist sehenswert mit dem Poortekerl der zwischen den Steinen steht mit Blick auf die Martinikirche und die Rheinbrücke. Die wohl einfachste Frage an eine Touristen-Information, was es so in der Stadt zu sehen gibt, konnte nur vage bis gar nicht beantwortet werden. Man verweist auf die Rheinufer-Promenade. Und auf umliegende Städte - im Ernst??? Waren die Damen selbst mal in der Stadt unterwegs? Für diese Erkenntnis braucht es keine vier Damen hinter einem Tresen, wären wir auch selbst drauf gekommen. Auch auf die Frage, ob man heute Schiff fahren kann, war die erste Antwort, dass die Saison schon fast vorüber wäre. Anfang August??? Wir sind dann raus, dass einfachste Fragen eigentlich gar nicht beantwortet werden können ist schon mehr als schwach und überhaupt nicht zu verstehen. Haben uns mit Google Maps bewaffnet und ein schönes Lokal zum essen auf der Rheinufer-Promenade angesteuert.. Well .. For the first time in Emmerich, first the Touri info driven.
