★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We hebben net een fantastische rondleiding van Natuurmonumenten over landgoed Gooilust en door de Trompenburg gehad. Écht aan te bevelen, zeker als je interesse hebt in geschiedenis. We hebben van de twee gidsen héél veel achtergrond informatie gekregen. Leuk! Mooi weer erbij, kortom een topmiddag gehad. We komen in mei terug, dan staan de "zakdoekjes"- boom en de rododendrons in bloei.
 We have just had a fantastic tour of Natuurmonumenten about the Gooilust estate and through the Trompenburg. Really recommended, especially if you are interested in history. We received a lot of background information from the two guides. Fun! Nice weather there, in short had a top afternoon. We'll be back in May when the "handkerchiefs" tree and rhododendrons are in bloom.

Beautiful place! Definitely worth taking a look. From the road already a beautiful view of the building.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An amazing piece of history and architecture. And the restoration will reveal beautiful details that got lost under paint and over time. The house will open in 2024.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 17th century summer residence of famous Dutch Admiral Cornelis Tromp. Beautiful building with the oval room with some as absolute masterpiece. Not opened to public normally, just on certain days like the national Castle day. Keep an eye out for those dates! Free parking and a beautiful garden to walk in after your visit. A mostly unknown jewel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In very bad state, friendly people but no real information or history given. Hopefully this will be an actual educational museum soon! Is there any info about the sculpture? Why is the architect unknown??? What is going on with the horrible steel lighting fixtures? Who chose for these and why? I really need an explanation...They ruin the whole design, very unfortunate... So may questions and no answers!
