★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Een bijzondere belevenis op een authentieke vissersboot. Een combinatie van sleepnetvissen en zeehonden spotten. Met mooie verhalen van de bemanning en je steekt er ook nog wat van op.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wat een enthousiasme van de kapitein! De sleepnetten gingen bijna direct de Waddenzee in waar ze een half uur de "schatten" verzamelen. Sam (?), de jonge hulp op de boot, pakte zn rol goed en liet de kinderen meehelpen met het voorbereiden wanneer de vangst aan boord kwam. Erg leuk om te zien hoeveel verschillende dieren aan boord kwamen met de uitleg erbij.
Ondertussen zette de boot koers naar een zandbank waar we vanaf héél dichtbij zeehonden konden spotten en werden er live garnalen gekookt. In de kombuis kon je wat drinken halen. Koelkast met bier en fris voor zeer acceptabele prijzen. Op vertrouwen doe je het geld in de pot.
Kortom: zeer de moeite waard en véél leuker dan alleen een zeehondentocht. En de andere reviews: Als je niet tegen humor kan, geen respect kan opbrengen voor de achtergrond en ervaring van de mannen aan boord en als je liever naief blijft hoe vis of garnalen gevangen worden en liever kant en klaar in de supermarkt koopt: blijf lekker thuis.
What enthusiasm from the captain! The trawls almost immediately went into the Wadden Sea where they collect the "treasures" for half an hour. Sam (?), The young helper on the boat, took his part well and let the children help prepare when the catch came on board. Very nice to see how many different animals came on board with the explanation.
In the meantime, the boat set course for a sandbank where we could spot seals from very close by and live shrimp were cooked. You could get a drink in the galley. Fridge with beer and soda for very acceptable prices. Trust you put the money in the pot.
In short: very rewarding and much more fun than just a seal trip. And the other reviews: If you cannot stand humor, cannot respect the background and experience of the men on board and if you prefer to remain naive about how fish or shrimp are caught and prefer to buy ready-made products in the supermarket: stay tasty home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De tocht was leuk met hier en daar wat weetjes, zeer dichtbij de zeehonden. Voor de kinderen leuk maar voorderest niet diepgaand.
Er wordt met weinig respect omgegaan met levende dieren. Kwallen vielen meermaals op het dek en kinderen renden rond met levende vissen. Het zou juist mooi zijn kinderen te leren om respect te hebben voor deze zeewezens. Daarin had ik een stuk beter verwacht.
The trip was fun with some tidbits here and there, very close to the seals. Fun for the kids, but not in-depth.
Live animals are treated with little respect. Jellyfish fell on the deck several times and children ran around with live fish. It would be nice to teach children to respect these sea creatures. I expected a lot better in that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantische beleving voor jong en oud. Sleepnetten het water in, mooi verhaal over de vangst, door naar de zeehonden (paar meter afstand) en als afsluiter verse garnalen proeven. Alles begeleid door 2 heren met een flinke bak humor!
Fantastic experience for young and old. Towing nets into the water, nice story about the catch, on to the seals (a few meters away) and to finish off with a taste of fresh shrimp. All accompanied by 2 gentlemen with a good sense of humor!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prachtige middag gehad! Topweer en een heerlijke tocht naar de zeehonden gemaakt. Leuke vangst bij het vissen en een kapitein die wel van een grapje houdt. Ideale ingrediënten voor een uitje tijdens je vakantie op Terschelling.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vandaag een hele leuke tocht gehad met de TS3 Viking met Kapitein Ronald en Bootsman Hessel. Leuke verhalen over de vangst uit de sleepnet en heel dicht bij de Zeehonden geweest. Prachtig groetjes Joop Brilstra en Mirjam Hermsen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wat een ontzettend leuke ervaring was dit. Ik werd zeer warm onthaald op de boot. Bijna gelijk gaan de sleepnetten de zee in. Na circa een halfuur worden de netten weer de zee uitgehaald. Dan worden de 'schatten uit de zee' bewonderd en Hessel verteld hier vol passie over. Ronald, de kapitein is zeer enthousiast en heeft heerlijke humor. Wat ik echt fantastisch vond waren de zeehonden die we zagen. Check ook ff de foto's, want dat zegt meer dan woorden. Dit is echt een must als je op Terschelling bent. Alle ingrediënten voor een leuke tijd! Ook voor kinderen is dit geweldig. Ze worden overal bij betrokken! Heel erg bedankt voor deze leuke twee uur! Groetjes, Diana
What a very nice experience this was. I received a very warm welcome on the boat. The trawl nets go into the sea almost immediately. After about half an hour, the nets are taken out of the sea again. Then the 'treasures from the sea' are admired and Hessel talks about them passionately. Ronald, the captain is very enthusiastic and has a wonderful sense of humour. What I really thought was fantastic were the seals we saw. Also check out the pictures, because they say more than words. This is really a must when you are on Terschelling.
