Beautiful place, good price, awesome people!!

Had a nice quiet holiday here. Mind the flies and mosquitos though.

Nice place. In the a fter season lovely quiet, very friendly owner.

Noisy at night. People talking till 1.00am. When it rained, we were in a boggy corner. Because we left early he put the price up by 4euro"a pet night. That's why it's a rippoff.

Lodge Koolmees is so very beautiful! Close enough from Enter and Rijssen for necessary groceries. In the middle of farmland, this resort is very peaceful.

What a waste off money, feeling ripped off. The available information on the site doesn't even come close to the reality. Absolutely nothing for the older kids to do, WiFi is useless we won't be recommending this park to our family and friends.

A bit disappointed upon arrival because we paid for what we thought would be quite a luxurious house (Mikah Lodge) but a lot of details turned out to be cheaply done which was a shame. Our place was still being cleaned when we arrived at 3pm, which wasn't a problem, but not receiving our bed linnen until 7pm, by which time we had a screaming, over-tired child on our hands, was not a great start for our first night. We discovered that the WiFi was blocked for certain sites (Netflix etc.). The owners said that it was to save bandwidth. It meant we couldn't use the flatscreen smart TV for anything but Dutch TV channels (even though we had especially brought a Chromecast). Being honest about this beforehand would have enabled me to prepare downloaded content for the kids to watch on the rainy days. I have been to cheaper rentals where there was at least some soap, pepper, salt, useful kitchen utensils and toilet roll. Not here. Here, you also have to pay extra for things like towels, bed linnen, tea towels and for the beds to be made on arrival. And bring the rest yourself. That just felt wrong at such a price. The kitchen/living area feels really nice with a huge window looking out onto a lawn. The kitchen itself though was missing some essential utensils, making cooking a challenge sometimes. There were so few plates and cutlery that we had to wash up a lot by hand instead of using the dishwasher (unless we wanted to run the dishwasher 3x per day half emtpy on the 2 dishwasher capsules they gave). Good points: Daylight in the house / atmosphere Nespresso coffee machine Quiet surroundings Heating worked fine Showers were fine Beds were OK (a little narrow) Basketball + Tennis court It's a quiet, relatively small park. Small kids can play there (watch out for dog poo in the grass), but it's a bit boring for 12+. The pool and playground equipment look like they are in need of replacing or at least better maintenance. The owners were very friendly despite our rather long list of grievances on the first day. In the end we had a fine time, just felt a little short-changed.
