★ ★ ★ ★ ★ great hotel with very polite and helpful personnel, the breakfast is awesome, especially the orange-squeezing-machine. Highly recommend this place for a stay, although the city itself doesn't impress me at all. Will definitely return for another lazy vacation. The pool, sauna is rly great, try to book the rooms with built-in whirlpools, very nice experience ; )

The breakfast was very good.
Downside was that the lights over the bed were not working and kept flashing (and was not fixed when I addressed the issue). Also the temperature of the room was not well controlled. Too cold at midnight, too warm in the early morning hours.
I would still recommend to stay though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very pleasant hotel and will be returning. Check in and out is fast and efficient. The suite we hired was not an updated one but loads of space and very comfortable. The bar and restaurant and good and you do not have to wait to long. The breakfast choice was abundant. We will be coming back to combine it with a theater show and a dip in the pool. An unbelievable complete hotel in a good location. Parking is nearby and the overflow parking is just a minute walk and only 6 euro's for 24 hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel charges 15 Euro parking fee an hour for non-guest! Never been to such an expensive parking slot anywhere else! Very unfriendly for non-dutch speaking guests! Will never choose this hotel in my life!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely not the best Van der valk hotel I have ever stayed. Well. It might be the worst one to be honest. The food quality is not what you will expect for more than 40 euro three-course meal. Van der valk never disappoints me before, but this one it does. Sorry but one star for the stay. The first but the last time for sure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our standard room was really nice and large. The cook prepared a special plate for me at breakfast because I have a special diet, even when the buffet style breakfast had enough for me to choose from. (Stayed last week.)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff and the service is great. I love the fact that dogs are welcome and I got a dog gift pack on arrival( a bowl, a ball , a towel and some treats). It is very conveniently located in the center and you have access to a lot of restaurants. We also had free welcome drinks. The hotel has room service a pool and a gym. The car park below the hotel is very convenient. The breakfast accomodated generously our vegan needs.All this is great. Now the hotel could do with a bit of maintenance, there were patches of mold in the swimming pool and shower. If you are a light sleeper, the walls are paper thin. So stay away. You can hear the conversation in the room next door and the layout of the cupboards make it that you hear when next door is opening and closing them. It's a shame because the purpose of a hotel is to be able to sleep. We asked to change room thinking we had noisy neighbors, it was "fine" on the second night then we went on to have the same noisy experience on the third night. It's good that I bought earplugs so I could have some sleep. The twin beds really go apart easily and this is what we can hear other rooms adjusting throughout the night. The beds are on the small side as well. Pillows are not comfortable. Overall great for vegans, dog owners, amazing service. Shame about the state of the building
