About Van Dijk and Ko
Wat ooit begon als kraam op de Noordermarkt, is uitgegroeid tot een begrip op het gebied van brocante, antiek, vintage en unieke vondsten. In 2000 startte de verkoop vanuit een loods in de Houthavens onder de naam Van Dijk & Ko. Via deze loods verhuisde de winkel in de zomer van 2009 naar haar huidige locatie,

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow just wow! What an amazing store. You could spend hours combing through treasures here. Prices range from affordable to pricey depending on the pieces, but definitely unique!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The products are given to them for free or for a very low cost in eastern European countries and they sell them for extremely high prices. With a lot of the furniture they just repaint them and sell them for extreme prices. It is a total scam.
They treat their own employees very bad, I heard them speak to them in an unpleasant way last time I was there. Not a place you want to support at all.
In addition, they are very unpleasant and not helpful at all. I will never go back. I do recommend that you go to the following places in case you want vintage furniture:

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to visit, but unfortunately the owners have lost touch with their pricing policies. It's actually become a bit of a joke, to the point that it's fun to try and guess what something is worth and then be shocked at the ludicrous pricing they have. I'm a fan of quirky, unique and lived items, but many things are in awful condition and you can buy cheaper things at most designer shops, which are already expensive. Pity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You know that bit in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, where everything in the garden is made of sweets? This place is like that, except with amazingly cool retro furniture, reclaimed from schools, offices, houses and who knows where else. There was a surprise around every corner, and I only wish I had some way of getting things back to the UK so I could have bought one of everything.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend! Learned about this shop on Instagram as they always post the most beautiful pieces. We were hesitant at first because we were unable to see the cabinet in person - but the customer service team was very helpful and totally put us at ease. The cabinet is more beautiful in person! NOTE: Delivery was a bit tricky because our front door is not at ground level - so we had to use (and pay for) an additional delivery service (Brenger NL), but that process was incredibly easy and affordable.
