Hij is wel iets duurder dan de meeste grote ketens, maar oog voor de klant en kwaliteit staan dan ook centraal.
 In my experience a professional optician. I have been coming there for years, have always been helped friendly and always leave as a satisfied customer.
It is slightly more expensive than most large chains, but attention to the customer and quality are also central.

Ik begrijp dat u het vervelend vindt dat ik het recept niet verstrek zodat u naar een goedkope discounter kunt gaan om daar een bril voor uw dochter te bestellen zoals u zelf aan mij vertelde in de winkel en dat ze daar haar ogen niet kunnen meten, omdat ze de kennis en de apparatuur om te meten niet hebben. Dit is echter hun probleem en niet het mijne.
Natuurlijk begrijp ik dat ik een makkelijker persoon ben om te benaderen zeker als uw dochter met onze bril altijd goed heeft gezien. U blijft wat mij betreft altijd welkom.

I understand that you find it annoying that I do not provide the prescription so that you can go to a cheap discount store to order glasses for your daughter there as you told me in the store and that they cannot measure her eyes there, because they do not have the knowledge and the equipment to measure. However, this is their problem and not mine.
Of course I understand that I am an easier person to approach, especially if your daughter has always seen well with our glasses. As far as I'm concerned, you are always welcome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought a pair of glasses for my daughter here. It turned out VERY expensive, and when my daughter lost her glasses a while later, they refused to provide me with her prescription. If you go here, beware, and make sure you keep your receipts.
Update: Just got back from another optical place, where we were able to get 3 pairs of glasses for half the price we were charged here. Also found out that Van Erkelens put incomplete prescription information in the original receipt so that you can't use it to get glasses somewhere else. We managed regardless, but find it pretty sneaky.
