This is the worst practice I have ever been too I had to wait more than 40 minutes in the waiting room my wife was kept waiting for 1h 10min one afternoon my son was also kept for one hour waiting...we were expected to sit there and accept the shabby service.. i was late on two occasions the second time Van Leeuwen sat with three members of his staff and talked down to me about how I was late again he talked even louder when he realized the patients in the waiting room were now fucussed on me being berated...I pointed out that I and my family had spent hours waiting on him...he then told me.." if you feel like that then go find another practice" I had three appointments at this practice and in that time i received no treatment at all...it became quite obvious he was out to milk the insurance system as best he could...it am now reporting him to Famed because he issued an invoice for €70 when the actual cost is €42....how many times has he got away with it?

I was not happy with the service at all. I was pregnant when I went, and I informed the dentist, he still advised to give me (and charge me) for anesthetics, but when I came home and I looked it up on peer reviewed journals, I was not happy that giving me full doses of anesthetics was taken so lightly by the dentist. I would have like a better explanation of the risks of anesthetics during the first trimester. But instead it was taken very lightly, and I felt like the only important thing for the dentist was to charge me as much as possible. Also,the hygienist was pretty tough and devoid of compassion, and her comments nearly made me cry more than once.

I went to this practice to remove a bridge (done in another practice), remove a tooth, and replace all with 2 implants. The first appointment for a plan with Livia I've been visited and no plan was delivered (but the plan was charged anyway). Then doctor Fred took then it in charge and he did the plan (paying the second time for it). The plan consisted of many other treatment, and only at the end the 2 implants that I requested. Anyway I decided to do all the fillings and other treatment that the doctor Fred said to do even because there was no other way to do with him (very rude personality and not taking care about patient opinion). After 6 months of treatment and more than 1000 euro spent for treatment that i didn't request, I've been said that he couldn't place the 2 implant because i have acute paradontitis. I decided to go in 2 other practices (one in the Netherlands and one in Italy), and both of them said that I don't have and I will never have paradontitis. Final result: I spent 6 months, many appointments, and more than 1500 euro for treatments not requested. At the end I decided to go to an other practice and now I have my 2 implants. Not reccomended at all, unfair, unethical, rude, and not professional!

It was my 1st time seeing a dentist in the Netherland. The reception, the dentist and the nurses were very friendly. One thing I would suggest is the dentist may introduce the treatment and fees a bit more.

Dr Hafsah Ahmad was very thorough, excellent work. Ahe was very helpful as well when I asked her for advice regarding the care I should take for my teeth and the products I should use.

Dentist Dr. Winter is very good. She always asks me before she uses anaesthetic or the like. And tells me what she's doing as she does it. She's friendly and knowledgeable. Never pushing for any work that may not be necessary at the time. Highly recommend her!! The Dental Hygienist (his name leaves me) is a bit rough with my dentition. Although it get's the job done I suppose, I haven't had such an intense cleaning in my life. Only real complaint I have is that the practice never warns me when an appointment will pass my insurance... I've had to pay out two invoices by now because of this. It's never an exorbitant amount, about 30e at most. But it's still unusual. Although I know I can always check my insurance, which I have once by convenient timing. I had to call them back to reschedule my appointment into the new year. How and ever, I've always been familiar with my dentist practice informing me of these matters. Despite what country I've been living in (as a foreigner), a practice considering the clients insurance has been normal behaviour everywhere. Even in my previous practice here in NL. Especially considering most dental services are scheduled with regards to the health benefits.. hence why I specifically pay extra for "additional dental insurance" every year.

Visited the Dentist for intake, but never knew that my teeth will be controlled the same day. it was a great experience and the bills i received after the first visitation was handy. I recommend that if u are around Leiden central u check them out. A trial will convince u.
