★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vanavond bij VanLeenen gegeten. De kinderen verse, huisgemaakte, perfect gebakken frietjes en wij van de restaurantkaart. Heerlijk vegan hoofdgerecht en zo mooi opgemaakt. Echt gigantische kwaliteit, niet iets dat je verwacht te vinden in het kleine Noord-Groningse dorp Leens. Aanrader! De reis vanaf alle hoeken van NL waard!
Had dinner at VanLeenen tonight. The children fresh, homemade, perfectly cooked fries and we from the restaurant menu. Delicious vegan main course and so beautifully prepared. Really gigantic quality, not something you expect to find in the small North Groningen village of Leens. Recommended! Worth the trip from all corners of NL!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vegans! Met snackbar doe je deze zaak véél tekort. De eigenaar/chefkok is zelf veganist dus dat schept vertrouwen. Je kunt er enorm leuk zitten en we werden door een vriendelijke jongedame bediend. Er was veel vegan keuze, we aten heerlijke romige mosterdsoep, paddestoelen bitterballen, dikke verse friet. We hadden geen ruimte meer voor wat anders, maar de volgende keer geen high tea 2 uur ervoor;-) Binnenkort met de mannen hier naartoe, lekker wandelen in het mooie Groningen en dan smullen bij Van Leenen!
vegans! With a snack bar you do this business a lot. The owner/chef himself is vegan so that creates confidence. You can sit very nice and we were served by a friendly young lady. There was a lot of vegan choice, we ate delicious creamy mustard soup, mushrooms bitterballen, thick fresh fries. We didn't have room for anything else, but next time no high tea 2 hours before ;-) Coming here with the men soon, take a nice walk in beautiful Groningen and then enjoy a meal at Van Leenen!

We each had a different vegan meal (starter and main course) and the quality and inventiveness of the food and cooking was really excellent. Thank you and we look forward to coming back again.
