★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During our stay in Amsterdam we visited the Vegan Junk Food Bar twice. The food was very delicous and served very fast. You get good portion for the money ypu pay. also the staff is very friendly
A little critic was the dessert. It didn‘t taste as good as the main menu.
We didn‘t make a reservation and had to wait like 15 min. But this didn‘t bother us.

Cant believe it's vegan -!Good thing to know!- is that the restaurant is really warm inside because the kitchen is in the middle of the restaurant. So wear layered clothing. And the music is a bit loud for an eating place. Everything tasted amazing. The fries where not that special, but the sauces where good. MOCKTAIL was ?
Afterwards you dont feel as bad as you would when you eat a meat burger. Good for your gut.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered the vegan ribs with fries, chicken salad, sweet potato fries and calamari. From the four, I have to say that the calamari was my favorite. It has a nice chew like actual squids would have. Sweet potato fries was also delicious, but it came with pink truffle sauce which was too sweet. The rest of the food was just okay for me. Service was quick and friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cannot resist the temptation of tucking in a thick bun, but add to imagine doing that to get pangs of conscience?
I’ve tried a few veggie burgers in my life and to date nothing beats what I’ve enjoyed here.
The non-meat has a meaty consistency, the taste does not give its real ingredients away at all.
The bun was also really good and it came with a generous amount of fresh salad, onions, etc.
Taking of onions: if you don’t digest them well, ask staff to serve your burger without as they go very easy with onions I’ve noticed ?.
A good IPA completed the night for me.
PS: delicious candies are a complimentary treat when you leave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yum!!! I really love this place for the decor, the creative dishes, and service. The food was good but not exceptional in my opinion. I would definitely recommend the burgers and “betterballs” but not necessarily the fries. If you only have time to visit one location try the one on the other side of Vondelpark, its beautiful and cozy in there!
