 An oasis of peace, in the middle of Wijk bij Duurstede. With all the accompanying features that can be found in a medieval environment. Just the way there will take you back in time. Good place to find yourself again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Een rustpunt midden in de oude stad. Te bereiken via een bijna onopvallende steeg (bukken!) vanaf de Peperstraat naast biologische winkel Ellen Natuurlijk. Hier kan je genieten van de zon met mooi uitzicht op de duurste en oudste woningen van de stad. Kleine speeltuin voor kinderen. Ooievaarsnest op de daken. Bij restaurant Het Klooster kun je op het terras eten met uitzicht op het veld. De Mazijk was vroeger een kanaal dat de bevoorrading van de stad mogelijk maakte en uitkomt bij het kasteel Duurstede. Met een beetje verbeeldingskracht waan je je in de middeleeuwen.
A resting point in the middle of the old town. Accessible via an almost inconspicuous alley (bend over!) From the Peperstraat next to organic shop Ellen Naturally. Here you can enjoy the sun with a beautiful view of the most expensive and oldest houses in the city. Small playground for children. Stork's nest on the roofs. At restaurant Het Klooster you can eat on the terrace with a view of the field. The Mazijk used to be a canal that made supplies to the city possible and ends at the Duurstede castle.
