Bij de bevalling wou ik — als het niet zou lukken in bad — het op een baarkruk proberen. De dienstdoende verloskundige had er geen bij zich. Dus belandde ik alsnog in bed. Hoewel het uiteindelijk wel gelukt is, blijf ik mezelf afvragen of ik zo eindeloos lang had moeten persen als ik op de baarkruk had gezeten.
 They often (much to the annoyance) made me wait in the waiting room for a long time, without telling me where I stood.
During the delivery I wanted - if it didn't work out in the bath - to try it on a birthing stool. The midwife on duty had none with him. So I ended up in bed after all. Although it did work out in the end, I keep wondering if I would have had to push for as long as I had sat on the birthing stool.
