★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wil je een vertaling of een tolk, dan hoop je dat degene die dit doet echt in de andere taal zegt wat je bedoelt, en niet iets wat erop lijkt. Ik ken geen consciëntieuzer tolk-vertaler. De cultuur speelt een grote rol, waardoor bepaalde woorden pijn doen voor iemand wanneer deze in 'lage taal' wordt vertaald. Het zal niet gebeuren dat je iets netjes zegt en het in grove bewoordingen wordt vertaald. Wordt iets heel precies verwoord, en is het in complexe taal, zelfs voor een Nederlander, dan is er soms niet eens een woord voor in het Birmees. Dan wordt er een omschrijving gezocht, gecontroleerd met iemand met een juridische of medische specialisatie in Birma, en dan pas vertaald. Je bent er zeker van dat je vertaling correct is, en dat tijdens het tolken complexe zaken in het Nederlands goed in het Birmees worden overgebracht omdat de tolk doorvraagt, wanneer ook haar iets niet helemaal helder is, ten behoeve van de cliënt. Voor mij staat Vertaal & Tolkbureau Zonnebloem voor kwaliteit en compassie, gevoel voor verfijning en kennis van onze wetten en regels.
 If you want a translation or an interpreter, you hope that the person doing this really says what you mean in the other language, not something that looks like it. I don't know a more conscientious interpreter-translator. The culture plays a major role, as a result of which certain words hurt for someone when they are translated into 'low language'. It will not happen that you say something neat and it will be translated into rough terms. If something is spelled very precisely, and if it is in complex language, even for a Dutch person, then sometimes there is not even a word for it in Burmese. Then a description is sought, checked with someone with a legal or medical specialization in Burma, and only then translated. You are sure that your translation is correct, and that during interpreting complex matters in Dutch are properly transferred to the Burmese language because the interpreter continues to ask when the client is not entirely clear about it. For me, Vertaal & Tolkbureau Zonnebloem stands for quality and compassion, a sense of sophistication and knowledge of our laws and rules.
