Ik wil je heel erg bedanken voor de afgelopen dagen, hoe je ons begeleid hebt in de weg naar het definitieve afscheid van onze lieve zus. Ik weet heel zeker dat zij de invulling, de verhalen en de details helemaal goed zou vinden. Je hebt de juiste toon weten te vinden en ons de afgelopen dagen een geruststellend gevoel gegeven. Ik wil je ook bedanken voor je extra aandacht voor mijn dochter. De impact voor zo’n 9-jarig meisje bij het verlies van haar lieve, leuke en altijd actieve tante, is moeilijk in te schatten. Vandaag, op haar laatste schooldag voor de zomervakantie, wilde ze de engel, die ze van je gekregen had, meenemen naar school om er over te vertellen.
Zoals ik al tegen je zei, hoop ik je een tijdje niet te zien….maar je begrijpt wat ik bedoel.
Voor ons geldt, hoe moeilijk ook, dat we het ‘gewone leven’ weer proberen op te pakken.

I want to thank you very much for the past few days, how you guided us in the way to the final goodbye to our dear sister. I am very sure that she would really like the interpretation, the stories and the details. You have found the right tone and given us a reassuring feeling over the past few days. I also want to thank you for your extra attention to my daughter. The impact for such a 9-year-old girl at the loss of her sweet, fun and always active aunt is difficult to estimate. Today, on her last day of school before the summer holidays, she wanted to take the angel she got from you to school to tell about it.
As I said to you, I hope not to see you for a while….but you know what I mean.
For us, however difficult, we try to pick up 'normal life' again.
