About Vibis
After graduating from law school and working for some years in that field, I returned in 1998 to my original passion: ICT. Information technology is years ahead of the legal world and I love the rapid developments.
At Ericsson I worked on the large computer that regulates telephone traffic. And that's where I first came into contact with web design. After that at MeesPierson in Amsterdam, which became Fortisbank, I continued in web technology and was part of the team that developed the first website for fortisbank.nl. There I was introduced to content management and interaction design.
In parallel, I started my own internet agency in 2000. Because I am also an artist, the focus was mainly on the appearance and I made websites in Flash. On a trip to Australia I came into contact with TYPO3. I wanted to quickly and easily post my family's photos online during the trip, for the home front.
Since then TYPO3 and I have been a team and I build all websites around that system. In 2005 I became completely independent in the internet services to this day. And recently I have been combining that with being an artist.
