[French Version, English below] Une expérience déplorable tant avec Victron que son revendeur français (PK FLUVIAL). Le produit reçu ne fonctionne pas, il est renvoyé (A NOS FRAIS). On nous le retourne avec une vulgaire réparation (sans explication sur ce qui n'allait pas) et en plus il manque des éléments (notice + kit de montage). Vous prenez le temps de demander gentiment que quelqu'un se désigne pour rattraper le coup... On vous envoie balader. Bref, navrant de penser que le client ne mérite même pas que l'on s'attarde sur son cas, en particulier quand on dépense une somme conséquente. They sent you the same product, repaired (without any information concerning what did not work) and some elements are missing in the box (user manual and mounting plate)... You ask for someone to resolve that issue, which is pretty annoying when you spend more than 1K$, and... the answer you get is “Just make one yourself”. If you have other possibilities, I really suggest you buy somewhere else. Victron and its french supplier really do not deserve your money.

We are returned with a vulgar repair (without explanation on what was wrong) and in addition it lacks elements (instructions + mounting kit). Goed product, maar van het hoofdkantoor kan je geen service krijgen. Het enige wat je hoort, is ga naar de website.

Herr Uwe Dräger, auf der Web Seite als "Sales Manager" von Victron genannt, macht nicht nur keine technische oder vertriebliche Beratung, er scheint auch die Grundregeln einer freundlichen Kommunikation nicht zu beherrschen. Er unterbricht einen ständig mitten im Satz und wiederholt sich wie eine Bandansage, dass man sich an seinen Vertriebspartner wenden soll. Der bedauerlicher Weise im Corona Lockdown ebenfalls nicht erreichbar ist. Auch wenn die bei mir verbaute Technik dieses Herstellers wohl ein hochwertiges Produkt sein soll und ich dafür auch in Summe mehr als 10.000€ bezahlt habe, durfte ich keine Fragen stellen. Das Telefonat hätte mit zwei simplen Fragen in 2 Min, einen zufriedenen Kunden als Ergebnis haben können, aber durch die dauernden Wort Unterbrechungen, hat das Gespräch zwar nicht länger gedauert, allerdings einen sehr unzufriedenen Kunden mit sich gebracht. Eine Leistungsbewertung ist hier, eigentlich nicht möglich, weil die Leistung schlicht und einfach von Herrn Uwe Dräger verweigert wurde.
Mr. Uwe Dräger, named on the website as "Sales Manager" of Victron, not only does not give technical or sales advice, he also does not seem to master the basic rules of friendly communication. He constantly interrupts you in the middle of a sentence and repeats himself like a tape announcement that you should contact your sales partner. Which, unfortunately, cannot be reached in the Corona Lockdown either. Even if the technology from this manufacturer installed by me is supposed to be a high-quality product and I paid more than € 10,000 for it, I wasn't allowed to ask any questions. The phone call could have resulted in a satisfied customer with two simple questions in 2 minutes, but due to the constant word interruptions, the conversation did not last longer, but it did result in a very dissatisfied customer. A performance evaluation is actually not possible here because the performance was simply refused by Mr. Uwe Dräger.

I gave Victron 2 stars based mainly on the strength of innovation. I would give them no stars for much of anything else. Their documentation in my experience is incomplete, confusing, contradictory, and doesn't show the level of integration you would expect. The products are in fact integrated to some extent but you can't tell that from the documentation. Their technical support organization is non existent. It deals through authorized retailers whose level of knowlege probably goes from zero to infinity. May someone help the poor souls who bought equipment from Amazon. In my case I bought an inverter charger for a boat that doesn't operate the way it is described in the manual, but whose charging algorithm is controlled in firmware with no release notes. When I complained to the retailer in US about the way it was performing, a Victron sales manager replied detailing how the firmware worked. The retailer didn't know that and I certainly didn't but when the retailer told me I should have done due diligence when I purchased the product. My response was simple, how could I know what you didn't know and Victron had never published. Victron is no longer on my list for a purchase of anything until they demonstrate they know how to document system design and operation in a coherent and complete manner and figure out how to support a product.
