E	Emile Hauser on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De Villa Flora is een kantoorgebouw in de Nederlandse plaats Venlo. De bouw begon in 2010 en werd begin 2012 voltooid. De architect is Jón Kristinsson. Tijdens de Floriade 2012 fungeerde het gebouw als expositieruimte. Na afloop van de Floriade werd dit gebouw, evenals de nabijgelegen Innovatoren, in gebruik als kantoorgebouw. Als zodanig maakt het nu deel uit van het bedrijventerrein Venlo Greenpark. In 2014 diende een Venlose ondernemer een plan in om in het gebouw een versmarkt te vestigen, maar dit plan strandde op de invulling van het onderdeel educatie. Na onderzoek, gelast door de Venlose gemeenteraad, werd duidelijk dat er geen huurovereenkomst was getekend. Een jaar later, in maart 2015, werd bekendgemaakt dat er een laboratorium voor gezonde voeding wordt gevestigd in het pand. In het co-creatielab gaan het Citaverde College, HAS Hogeschool, Fontys Hogescholen, Universiteit Maastricht en Universiteit Wageningen samenwerken in de ontwikkeling van nieuwe producten en onderzoek naar het gezondheidseffect daarvan. Volgens de eigen website is Villa Flora het groenste gebouw van Nederland The Villa Flora is an office building in the Dutch town of Venlo. Construction started in 2010 and was completed in early 2012. The architect is Jón Kristinsson. During the Floriade 2012, the building functioned as an exhibition space. After the Floriade, this building, as well as the nearby Innovatoren, was used as an office building. As such, it is now part of the Venlo Greenpark business park. In 2014, a Venlo-based entrepreneur submitted a plan to establish a fresh market in the building, but this plan ran aground on the interpretation of the education component. After investigation, ordered by the Venlo city council, it became clear that no lease agreement had been signed. A year later, in March 2015, it was announced that a healthy food laboratory will be located in the building. In the co-creation lab, Citaverde College, HAS University of Applied Sciences, Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Maastricht University and Wageningen University will collaborate in the development of new products and research into their health effect. According to its own website, Villa Flora is the greenest building in the Netherlands
