★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 7,50 entree om te duiken (dan verwacht je ook wat), helaas was het zicht minder dan 40 cm dus een waardeloze duikstek. Ik zou hier geen stuiver voor durven vragen. Kom hier in iedergeval nooit meer!
 7.50 entrance fee for diving (then you expect something), unfortunately the visibility was less than 40 cm so a worthless dive site. I wouldn't dare ask a dime for this. In any case, never come here again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Enorm ontevreden! Camping Veenmeer heeft mij erg slecht behandeld. Ik heb een jaar lang mijn caravan op dit park gehad.
Toen ik mijn caravan wou doorverkopen kreeg ik ineens te horen dat de caravan te oud was en dat ik hem zelf maar even moest afvoeren... Met immens hoge kosten...
Er is mij van te voren niks aangegeven over de leeftijd van de caravan en dat ik hem bij verkoop op zo'n korte termijn zou moeten afvoeren.
Ik ben zwaar ontevreden, ik vind dit geen service en ik ben dan ook verre van positief over deze camping. Ik heb geen positieve woorden voor deze situatie.
Geen aanrader om hier je caravan neer te zetten. Je wordt genaait waar je bij staat.
Extremely dissatisfied! Camping Veenmeer treated me very badly. I had my caravan at this park for a year.
When I wanted to sell my caravan I was suddenly told that the caravan was too old and that I had to dispose of it myself... With immensely high costs...
I was not informed in advance about the age of the caravan and that I would have to dispose of it at such short notice when selling.
I am very dissatisfied, I do not think this is a service and I am therefore far from positive about this campsite. I have no positive words for this situation.
It is not recommended to park your caravan here. You will be sewn right in front of you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The villa Park is combined with a campground which houses mostly trailers. We rented a trailer on the park through a private renter.
The lakes are really highlights of the park. One is dedicated to fishing and the other to swimming and diving. A diving school is on site with air charging facilities.
The park itself could use some renovation which a start seems to have been made on the restaurant however the petting zoo and playground could certainly use this as well.
The restaurant offers simple meals and pizzas, it is easily accessible and rarely very busy. The menu does not offer healthy choices it also does not cater much to vegetarians outside of a pizza or deep fried snack. The latter is also the mainstay of the menu.
For better food the town of zuidlaren is 5 minutes or less away and advisable over the restaurant. The village is certainly worth a visit on its own as well.
