★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spectacular meal. I had the Chef's tasting course of 4 courses. Included two small starters, a main course of three different fish and a selection of small desserts. Every morsel of food was expertly prepared and tasty. The wine selection is a bit small and some of the glasses do not favor the seafood menu and an expansion of dry whites on the menu would be beneficial, but there are a couple of decent glasses available and it doesn't affect the quality of the meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This has to be Leiden's hidden secret. Superb fish dishes thoughtfully presented and very fresh. Some of the party had never tried oysters before and the owner took the time to take them through the experience. Can't fault it and would make a detour to go back. Uber driver also said it's his favourite.

The patron and chef clearly take pleasure, not only in preparing top quality cuisine, but in being inventive: ringing the changes, exploring tastes. I've also been impressed by the waiting staff. It is not easy to generate such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere as they do, but at the same time to be quietly attentive, yet they manage it consistently. All in all I can sincerely recommend 't Crabbetje - it is the best restaurant I have eaten at in Leiden.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolute amazing. Great atmosphere. Taking special wishes in consideration. Friendly staff. Wine excellent. Is worth to come back next time. Outstanding fish, unique dishes, great service. Highly recommended. Close to town center. Nice wine menu. Four cheeses and accompaniments, From Camenbert to Blue. Nicely done and delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went for the chefs menu. It is nice that the chef menu is a surprise and not advertised on the website. All the seafood dishes were extremely good and about half the wine pairings were spot on (the other half were "just" nice). On top of this the staff was really friendly. Planning to go there only for a regular, only main course, meal.
