★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dé beste friet van Amsterdam. Zelfgesneden, goed gebakken friet die met liefde gemaakt wordt. Geen zuinige half gevulde bakjes met net te weinig saus. Gewoon goed gevulde zakken friet met de lekkerste pittige mayonaise én goede saté saus. Enige minpunt; ze zijn alleen open tijdens markttijden dus zelden op zondag en nooit in de avond tijdens etenstijd.
The best fries in Amsterdam. Home-made, well-baked fries that are made with love. No economical half-filled containers with just too little sauce. Simply well-filled bags of fries with the tastiest spicy mayonnaise and good satay sauce. Only downside; they are only open during market times so rarely on Sundays and never in the evening during dinnertime.

Super nice service, normal portion enough for a medium-sized snack. And price-performance ratio is definitely top! As a German, you can even get an extra sauce on the house to try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When planning my trip to the Netherlands I found vitas friet featured on several travel sites telling of their greatness. Out of the several fry stands we visited, vitas were the most disappointing because we came in with high expectations. Yes the people working behind the stand were lovely but the fries weren't spectacular. The level of your average carnival fair. If you're in the area sure give it a shot but don't travel from a different city like we did.
