★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We waren onderweg naar de vestingstad Bourtange. Dan sta je opeens in Vlagtwedde. Op zich niet raar. Maar de straten hingen vol met waslijnen met kledingstukken. Dan heb je wel zo iets van wat is dit nou. Is het de wasdag van Vlagtwedde? Doen ze hier één keer per maand alle was tegelijk?? Overal waat je keek waslijnen met wasgoed. We zijn er nog niet helemaal achter maar de verrassing en herinneringen zijn leuk.
 We were on our way to the fortified town of Bourtange. Then you suddenly find yourself in Vlagtwedde. Not surprising in itself. But the streets were full of clotheslines with garments. Then you have something of what is this now. Is it the washing day of Vlagtwedde? Do they do all the laundry here once a month? Everywhere you looked washing lines with laundry. We haven't quite figured it out yet, but the surprise and memories are nice.
