★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Met de nodige maatregelen rondom Corona was deze excursie prima te doen. Met minder capaciteit en met een gratis mondkapje... Sneu voor de nieuwe eigenaar van dit bedrijf, dat zeker.
Maar we hebben een geweldige rit gemaakt naar Vlieland-West, wat een onwerkelijke omgeving in Nederland. En inderdaad, de Sahara van het noorden is een passende bijnaam.
We konden de juttersvondsten bekijken en kregen een goede uitleg. Helaas geen zeehondjes gespot, wel door de verrekijker op een zandbank. Na ruim 2 uur ben je weer terug bij het vertrekpunt.
Gelukkig maar want de auto had wat startproblemen bij het Drenkelingenhuisje... Aanrader, deze excursie!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Een topper van hoog niveau op de parel der waddeneilanden Vlieland. Je krijgt er niet genoeg van om de Vliehors te bezoeken op een wel zeer bijzondere wijze.
Je rijd in een sterke zware auto met kanjer 's van banden door het water en over het strand een happening die je zeker niet mag missen. De gids verteld op div. unieke plekken op de Vliehors interessante verhalen van strandingen wat beslist een meerwaarde heeft voor de prachtig uitgestrekte Vliehors, het mooiste plekje van Nederland. Met begeleiding van een accordeonist geniet je volop tijdens het rijden een top evenement op Vlieland, 's niveau!

You drive in a strong heavy car with whopper 's of tires through the water and on the beach a happening that you should not miss. The guide tells on div. unique places on the Vliehors interesting stories of strandings, which certainly has added value for the beautifully expansive Vliehors, the most beautiful spot in the Netherlands. Accompanied by an accordionist, you can fully enjoy a top event at Vlieland's level while driving!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wat een leuke excursie. Gezellig dat er een accordeonist meegaat die je entertain met muziek en leuke weetjes van het eiland. De chauffeur geeft de 'rondleiding' in het reddingshuisje. Ik heb erg genoten van dit uitje. We hadden toen fantastisch weer erbij. Echt een aanrader.
What a nice excursion. Nice that an accordionist will accompany you and entertain you with music and fun facts from the island. The driver gives the 'tour' in the rescue house. I really enjoyed this outing. We then had fantastic weather. Really recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Geweldige ervaring: 's avonds met de Vliehors Expres het strand op tot waar je heel dichtbij Texel bent. Wat een ruimte en stilte! Wat een mooie luchten. Daarna naar de kraal (met palen omheinde ruimte) bij het drinkelingenhuisje. Daar kampvuur met muziek van Sjoerd: uniek! Een aanrader!
Great experience: in the evening with the Vliehors Express on the beach to where you are very close to Texel. What a space and silence! What beautiful skies. Then to the corral (enclosed space with poles) at the drinkelingenhuisje. There campfire with music from Sjoerd: unique! Recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Erg leuke ervaring, deze tocht met open vrachtwagen over het strand van Vlieland naar het westelijkste puntje van Vlieland. Onderweg een aantal stops in het grootste aaneengesloten zandgebied van Europa. Ook mooi de verhalen van de gids, humoristisch gebracht. De opstap is bij strandpaviljoen 't Badhuys, bij de trap van het restaurant, waar je het strand opkomt. Was handig geweest als ze daar een bordje o.i.d. hadden neergezet.
Very nice experience, this trip with open truck over the beach of Vlieland to the westernmost tip of Vlieland. Along the way a number of stops in the largest continuous sandy area in Europe. The stories of the guide are also beautiful, presented in a humorous way. The entrance is at beach pavilion 't Badhuys, at the stairs of the restaurant, where you enter the beach. Would have been useful if they had a sign or something like that. had put down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Een prachtige ervaring. De Vliehors neemt je onder leiding van een chauffeur en Vlielands' enigste accordeonist mee naar de 'Sahara van het Noorden', de Vliehors. De eerste stop is het drenkelingen huisje wat nu is ingericht als juttersmuseum en trouwlocatie.
De tweede stop vind plaats op de uiterste westpunt van Vlieland, waar de voormalige aanlegsteiger staat van "de vriendschap", een kleinschalige boot van Texel naar Vlieland. Vanaf hier kun je de vuurtoren van Texel bijna aanraken, je ziet hem vanaf ca. 1600 meter afstand. In de verte rusten honderden zeehonden. Dat deze bijzondere, desolate en eindeloze plekken er nog zijn in het doorgaans volle Nederland is toch wel bijzonder. Een leuk uitje wat ongeveer 2 uur duurt.
A wonderful experience. De Vliehors takes you to the 'Sahara of the North', the Vliehors, under the guidance of a driver and Vlielands' only accordionist. The first stop is the drowning house which is now used as a beachcombers museum and wedding location.
The second stop takes place at the extreme western point of Vlieland, where the former jetty of "the friendship", a small-scale boat from Texel to Vlieland. From here you can almost touch the Texel lighthouse, you can see it from about 1600 meters away. Hundreds of seals rest in the distance. That these special, desolate and endless places are still there in the usually crowded Netherlands is quite special. A nice outing that lasts about 2 hours.
