Vrouwgeestmolen - Heimansbuurt 1

On a unique location right in the Green Heart of the Netherlands, on the edge of Alphen aan den Rijn, overlooking beautiful polder landscape and, of course, the beautiful 'Vrouwgeest' windmill, a luxurious, cozy and country-style cottage has opened it's doors since June 2013.

Since 2022 there is a second home for rent, the Hooiberghuis. Both houses are designed for four people.

Nature, tranquility and lots of opportunities for recreation in the immediate area. That's what you will find during your stay in the lovely cottage on this unique location next to the windmill.

Also, children are very welcome at the cottage! There is plenty of space for playing. And there are lots of possibilities for children in the area, like a visit to playground/bird park Avifauna or Archeon. There are also some swimming pools and indoor playgrounds in the area.

You will be a guest of the windmill inhabitants, You will be a guest of the windmill inhabitants, Hans Vrolijk and Sarah, and Hans’s 2 children. The Vrouwgeestmolen which is property of the Rijnlandse Molenstichting (The Rijnland Windmill Organisation). The windmill has been milled by six generations of the Vrolijk family ever since it was build in 1797.

Of course it is possible to have a good look in and outside the windmill. The miller is happy to tell you about its function and history.
