★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het blijft een mooi verhaal dat Ecomare de bouw van de walviszaal heeft kunnen bekostigen met de opbrengst van het ambergrijs uit de potvis die gevonden is nabij Texel. De zaal is ontzettend mooi geworden. Verschillende skeletten hangen aan het plafond, met daarboven een silhouet van het dier waardoor je je nog beter een voorstelling van het dier kunt maken. Aan de zijkanten van de zaal zijn interactieve schermen met leuke vragen over walvissen. Op één wand is de afstamming van walvissen, dolfijnen en bruinvissen te zien. Al met al is het een kloppend geheel vol met mooie beelden, afbeeldingen en restanten van cetacea.
