★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In maart 2013 is onze Wanders Olaf Eco (vierkant) geplaatst.
De eerste ervaringen zijn uitstekend!
In plaats van stoken van 8.00 uur tot 23.00 uur kunnen we nu met twee stookbeurten van 3 tot 4 uur per dag volstaan. (In totaal dus 6 tot 8 branduren per dag en maximaal 2 x 10 kg brandhout per dag)
Tussen de twee stookperioden, respectievelijk van 8.00 uur tot 12.00 uur en 17.00 uur tot 21.00 uur, komt er gedurende ruim 5 uren voldoende opgeslagen warmte vrij via het speksteen.
En na 21.00 uur levert de "batterij" van speksteen natuurlijk eveneens voldoende warmte tot ver na middernacht!
Ons brandhoutverbruik is met 40 % gereduceerd in vergelijking met onze vorige inbouw convectiekachel (Jotul System 80).
De Wanders Olaf Eco is een zeer goede houtkachel met een hoog rendement (85%) en een relatief schone verbranding voor wat betreft fijnstof en koolmonoxide etc.
Our Wanders Olaf Eco (square) was installed in March 2013.
The first experiences are excellent!
Instead of heating from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., we can now suffice with two heating cycles of 3 to 4 hours a day. (In total 6 to 8 burning hours per day and a maximum of 2 x 10 kg of firewood per day)
Between the two heating periods, respectively from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., sufficient stored heat is released via the soapstone for more than 5 hours.
And after 9 p.m., the "battery" of soapstone naturally also supplies enough heat well beyond midnight!
Our firewood consumption has been reduced by 40% compared to our previous built-in convection heater (Jotul System 80).
The Wanders Olaf Eco is a very good wood-burning stove with a high efficiency (85%) and a relatively clean combustion with regard to particulate matter and carbon monoxide etc.

Wij hebben de Danta 800 staan en zijn daar niet tevreden van en ook niet van de service (welke???).
- De handleiding van de haard beschrijft een andere afstandsbediening met andere knoppen en toetsencombinaties dan die geleverd is. Er zit wel een handleiding van de geleverde afstandsbediening bij maar die beschrijft dan weer niks van de haard.
- De vlamhoogte op maximum is maar de helft van de hoogte van de haard en niet zoals in hun promo filmpje.
- De haard de temperatuur van de ruimte laten regelen is bijna onmogelijk want zodra je de afstandsbediening aanraakt meet die een hogere temperatuur door je lichaamswarmte.
- Als ik Wanders contacteer via hun contactformulier wordt ik via een kort mailtje naar de plaatser verwezen en daarmee is voor Wanders de kous af (zelfs geen eenvoudig antwoord of de 2de brander standaard of optie is).
UPDATE 08/02/2022:
2 feb 2022 is Wanders langs geweest.
2de brander is geen optie maar standaard. Kabeltje stak niet in. Fout van de installateur.
Waakvlam stond veel te hevig en moest afgesteld worden. Ook fout van de installateur.
Een betere communicatie met de installateur is hard nodig!
2 van de 6 opmerkingen geschrapt dus daarom van 1 naar 3 sterren.
Nov 2021:
We have the Danta 800 and are not satisfied with it, nor with the service (which one???).
- The manual of the fireplace describes a different remote control with different buttons and key combinations than the one supplied. There is a manual for the supplied remote control, but that does not describe anything about the fireplace.
- The flame height at maximum is only half the height of the fireplace and not like in their promo video.
- Allowing the fireplace to regulate the temperature of the room is almost impossible because as soon as you touch the remote control, it measures a higher temperature due to your body heat.
- When I contact Wanders via their contact form, I am referred to the installer via a short email and that is the end of Wanders (not even a simple answer whether the 2nd burner is standard or optional).
UPDATE 08/02/2022:
2 Feb 2022 Wanders visited.
2nd burner is not an option but standard. Cable did not plug in. Installer error.
Pilot flame was much too intense and had to be adjusted. Installer error.
Better communication with the installer is desperately needed!
