★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prima plein. Altijd voldoende, behulpzaam personeel met een lach. Gering in grootte en daarom altijd wel een rijtje auto's in de wacht maar rijdt meestal wel door. Tip: op de (bak)fiets kan je altijd direct door als je zo mee krijgt.
 Great square. Always adequate, helpful staff with a smile. Small in size and therefore always a row of cars on hold, but usually drives on. Tip: you can always go straight on the (cargo) bike if you get that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het begon met een berichtje op mijn telefoon: "Airpods achtergelaten op locatie" en dacht gelijk die moet uit mijn jas gevallen zijn terwijl ik met afval aan het gooien was. Direct terug gereden en opzoek gegaan. Met de 'Airtag' aan de oortjes was de locatie vrij snel duidelijk... in de papierbak.
Ik ben gelijk naar een van de medewerkers gelopen en gezegd: "Ik heb een probleempje.. mijn oortjes zijn waarschijnlijk in de papierbak gevallen" en kreeg gelijk de reactie terug "Oh dat is geen probleem dan spring ik er toch even in" zo gezegd zo gedaan direct sprong de medewerker (Lars) de papierbak in om met behulp van mijn telefoon en airtag te gaan zoeken naar mijn oortjes. Na een tijdje met veel bekijks sprong een andere collega er nog bij om te helpen en na 5 lange minuten werden de oortjes terug gevonden! Wat een top personeel! (zie bijgevoegde foto)
(hopelijk heeft het gebak nog gesmaakt :P)
It started with a message on my phone: "Airpods left on location" and I immediately thought it must have fallen out of my jacket while I was throwing garbage. Immediately drove back and went looking. With the 'Airtag' on the ears, the location was clear pretty quickly... in the wastepaper basket.
I immediately walked to one of the employees and said: "I have a problem .. my ears have probably fallen in the trash" and immediately received the response "Oh that's no problem, I'll jump in anyway" so said so done immediately the employee (Lars) jumped into the wastepaper basket to search for my earphones with the help of my telephone and airtag. After a while with a lot of attention, another colleague jumped in to help and after 5 long minutes the ears were found again! What a great staff! (See attached picture)
(hopefully the pastry still tasted good :P)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a very well organised and efficient landfill. Indeed peak times the queues are long but it always moves fairly fast because the staff try to keep the pace.
It is only a pity that beyond having 50% very helpful staff the other half of them are a total nuisance. They throughly enjoy having authority and will not be afraid to wield it. On top of that they have an utterly retarded policy of asking for identification at the gate, usually a drivers licence. I have mine from Amsterdam and I used to get told off for it. I have no idea how that is logical as the company makes money from recycling or if they are a government scheme then just like everyone else I too pay council tax.
Expats, if you don't have a drivers licence from Haarlem always keep a utility bill with you with your name and address clearly written on it otherwise they may not even let you in.
