WV Hertha Is een hechte watersportvereniging op de mooiste locatie in Roermond. Op de Kop van Hatenboer is een nieuwe jachthaven ontstaan met een clubhuis "de Spil" die vanaf het zonnige terras een panoramisch uitzicht geeft op de Zuidplas en Plas Hatenboer.

Hertha is een watersportvereniging die haar leden tegen redelijke tarieven een ligplaats biedt in een haven op een nieuwe locatie met veel faciliteiten. Maar Hertha is meer. Hertha biedt haar leden gezelligheid, saamhorigheid en een reeks jaarlijkse evenementen. De haven is voor veel leden een thuis, die we komende jaren samen verder willen uitbouwen tot de mooiste verenigingshaven van de Maasplassen.
Het ledenbestand bestaat voor ongeveer 60 procent uit inwoners van de regio Roermond. De overige leden zijn afkomstig uit de Duitse grensstreek. Ook onder Duitse leden is de verbondenheid met Hertha groot. Velen zijn al tientallen jaren lid en sommigen hebben er een autorit van een uur of nog meer voor over om te zeilen, of met met de motorboot te varen op de Maasplasen.
