★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a lovely place and is full of lovely people that will go out of there way to help. The flowers and the gardens are beautiful and the kids can have fun with the chicken and looking for all the bugs in the special bug hotels. It is so peaceful and tranquil fantastic place to vist for all ages

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can easily miss this place (or think it's just another private property) if you're cycling along the Amstel river and I suppose that's part of its charm. You can walk around the whole property (free entrance) and appreciate its peacefulness and the different views. There is also a free audio tour available telling you its history throughout the centuries narrated in a way that is easy and interesting to follow. And looking at the green and quiet surroundings you forget that Amsterdam is yet so close.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for a place to escape to that is just a short cycle away from the city, this is the place! You cycle along the Amstel River to get here (highly recommend this cycle). Once you get to Wester-Amstel get ready to relax, enjoy nature, and maybe even check out the art exhibit. Plus it has a lovely audio tour that tells you interesting stories about Wester-Amstel! I would highly recommend this place to nature lovers or anyone who needs to relax.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I passed by it on a bike with only a second glance. I did some research on this for a while came back with a audio guide recorded none other than the previous owner.
Highlights are the following :
1. The House itself, is one of the oldest and royal house in Amstel.
2. Garden has flowers that you might not find commonly in the whole of Netherlands.
3. The trees sculpted and grown to make an arch in typical Dutch gardening style.
4. The pond with the floating lady
5. The tea house on it's "raised" platform
6. The chicken palace
