But when I wrote to ask if I could change rooms, the owner wrote a terse email back that he can't book that room for 2019 and cancelled my reservation. No explanation. No pleasantries. Didn't say when I could book the other room. So, the heck with him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at WhereEls for 10 days in July 2021. The location of the apartment is very convenient. Also, the place is spacious and well-equipped. However, there were also some flaws in our stay. We find the host unprofessional, for example, there were house visits without any notice or even our presence in the apartment (we were surprised to find the host's things in our luggage). We asked the host to let us know when she wants to come in as we have a newborn baby with us, so we don't want to have him wake up every time. It was not well received. Finally, we complained about the smell in the house - there was a lot of moisture in there. Again, the host seemed to be pretty annoyed and she just ignored the whole thing.
