De eigenaar Maarten Smit heeft mij uitstekend geholpen. Hij wist elke vraag over de zeer jonge geschiedenis van de Achterhoekse wijnbouw, de coöperatie van de Verenigde Achterhoekse Wijnbouwers, het specifieke druivensoort Johanniter en de productieprocessen te beantwoorden. Het was een heel informatief en inspirerend gesprek. En vanzelfsprekend heb ik verschillende flessen Achterhoekse wijn (rood, wit, dessertwijn en de Achterhoekse bubbels Johanniter Brut) gekocht.
During a holiday week in the Achterhoek I wanted to buy a few bottles of Achterhoek wine. In the town of Vorden we happened to stop at Wijnhandel Smit. The owner Maarten Smit has helped me excellently. He was able to answer every question about the very young history of the Achterhoek winegrowing, the cooperative of the United Achterhoekse Wijngrowers, the specific grape variety Johanniter and the production processes. It was a very informative and inspiring talk. And of course I bought several bottles of Achterhoekse wine (red, white, dessert wine and the Achterhoekse bubbly Johanniter Brut).
