★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Niet te missen, deze formidabele korenmolen 'Rijn en Lek', de enige in Nederland die op een stadspoort is gebouwd. De huidige naam kreeg de molen 'pas' aan het begin van de 19e eeuw. Of de naam echt correct is? De Nederrijn wordt officieel pas 'Lek' op ca. een kilometer stroomafwaarts. De Kromme Rijn liep om het oude stadscentrum heen en het kanaal is alleen maar aangelegd om de Waterlinie onder water te kunnen zetten. Kniesoor die daar moeilijk over doet. Majesteitelijk geheel (en nee, niét die van Ruysdael dus).
Not to be missed, this formidable flour mill 'Rijn en Lek', the only one in the Netherlands built on a city gate. The mill was given its current name 'only' at the beginning of the 19th century. Whether the name is really correct? The Nederrijn does not officially become 'Lek' until about one kilometer downstream. The Kromme Rijn ran around the old city center and the canal was only built to be able to flood the Waterline. Mouth ear that is difficult about that. Majestic whole (and no, not that of Ruysdael).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unieke molen waar je onderdoor kunt fietsen. Als je door een krap gangetje naar boven gaat heb je een prachtig zicht over de haven.
Unique windmill that you can cycle under. If you go up through a tight hallway you have a beautiful view over the harbor.
