★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a low-tech, made-with-verve-and-devotion kind of place, so don't dress up. I think you will enjoy it. And the restaurant (as of my visit November 2019) was terrific. Do try the hot meals, not just the sandwiches. Hint: the cook makes his own red beet mousse and his own sweet relish. Oh my.
