R	Ram Agarwal on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you have an Amsterdam Card and want to visit Zaans then you should consider this option atleast for one-way (going) it leaves sharp at 10 from Central (Piller 14) right next to where you get ferry to cross IJ and go to other side.. and reaches Zaana Muesum around 11:30 spent good 2-3 hours there visiting various small mills and meusum and come back by train at 3 or stay back untill 16:30 and take same ferry back..
K	Keith Ponto on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a very relaxing way to get back from Zaans Schans to Amsterdam. It is also so convenient that the ferry dock at Zaans Schans is right by the windmills and the dock at Centraal Station is close to the bus.

Only the information on the website's home page is a bit inaccurate (by leaving from Amsterdam at 10 one actually gets to Zaanze Schaans at 11:30 and not noon, and it's possible to take the ferry back at 15:22 and 16:22, but not at 16 as implied). Still, I recommend it.
T	Tone Howden Martinsen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall experience was charming and positive because of the nice, pragmatic and relaxed people (husband and wife?) operating the boat. A few improvement tips / suggestions based on my experience yesterday: - Departing from Amsterdam CS - steiger 14: a sign or logo that the Zaanferry is departing from the pier (steiger 14) would be helpful. Also, a relevant timetable and keeping to the time is important. (On the pier itself it was not clear that we had actually come to the right place. As the ferry was late coming in and the only information available (without a logo) was a winter-schedule (it is now summer) we were not sure if we had come to the right place. - Departing from Hembrug: again, ferry was delayed again and it was tempting to get on the GVB (public transport ferry) that arrived in the meantime instead. We were encouraged by the captain of the GVB ferry to wait if we had already made arrangements to travel with the Zaanferry so decided to wait a few more minutes. (The GVB only charges EUR 2,50 for the trip back to Amsterdam CS vs EUR 5 single trip on Zaanferry). - Ordering ticket online in advance: For the "convenience" of paying up front, the Zaanferry charges an additional 1 Euro. Questionable for whose convenience this is. Especially since they didn't check the tickets and some people didn't have to pay at all because the Zaanferry assumed they had paid online. ;-)
V	Viktor Evgeniev on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ride was pleasant and the staff was very polite. It was a bit difficult to find it as there are no signs (hint, it is located on the left of the ferry they goes to NDSM). Unfortunately, we couldn't reach our final destinations (Zaanse Schans) because the ferry doesn't go there in the winter, however I could purchase it online, which doesn't make any sense. Fortunately, we got part of the money back, but not the transaction fee. I would recommend paying on board and save yourself the money
G	Gabriel Sora on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst service ever. They didn’t complying to COVID-19 regulations at all, no social distances and on top their approach is very rough. More then that, this is the only service in The Netherlands were I cannot pay by card.

From the beauty of the boat with immaculately cared for teak wood, giving us the trip options, loading our bikes, personally directing us to the trail, stories from the Capitan on his ancestral connection to some river highlights. to the special "Canadian" treat are all examples of a company who cares about their clients. Keep up the AMAZING experience!
