Dit liep soepel en ik ontving zeer snel een enthousiaste reactie en uitnodiging per mail. De vliegbasis ligt op een militaire basis dus bij de poort moest ik me melden. Hier stonden leden van de club mij op te wachten en namen me mee de basis op, wat een prachtig stuk verborgen landschap. Aangekomen bij de club trof ik een grote hangar aan gevuld met kisten. Hier kennis gemaakt met veel leden van de club, allemaal hartelijk en behulpzaam. Eerste dag heb ik gelijk vier vluchten mogen maken. Geweldig! As a new member I have registered via the website of Zweefvliegclub Deelen. This went smoothly and I received an enthusiastic response and invitation by e-mail very quickly. The airbase is on a military base so I had to report at the gate. Here members of the club were waiting for me and took me to the base, what a beautiful piece of hidden landscape. When I arrived at the club, I found a large hangar filled with boxes. Met here with many members of the club, all warm and helpful. The first day I was able to make four flights right away. Awesome!

De locatie is prachtig en de ligging ideaal midden in het best thermische gebied van Nederland, De Hoge Veluwe. De club staat ook open voor kunstvliegen. Mooie herinneringen worden hier gemaakt!
