★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Een dan weer zwarte, dan weer wit uitgeslagen stapeling van ijsschotsen lijkt het wel, die een koude nevel uitblaast, die als een soort rijp neerslaat op de koperen huid van dit merkwaardige beeld. Of de fontein inderdaad aan ijsvorming doet, hangt af van wind, zon en luchtvochtigheid. Tegelijk met de plaatsing van deze fontein is de markt opnieuw ingericht met banken en bomen, waardoor dit deel van het oude centrum van Dokkum er prachtig bij ligt.
