★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a Canadian in Amsterdam, this grocery store was close to our rental accommodation. Very convenient, however only drawback is they don't take Visa or MasterCard, only a local credit card, so bring cash. Lots of fresh fruit and produce, good selection of products.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Albert Heijn is unfortunately my local grocery store during the COVID19 and i'm really concerned about the measures they have taken for customer's safety. Nobody inside is sticking to the social distancing rules, especially the employees who are supposed to care about this more than anyone else. The guard at the entrance never kept the distance and actually many times i've seen him talking with groups of people right on the door of the store (even 5 people), having customers to ask him to move aside... they are clearly not prepared for what is going on and there should be more controls

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst staff at the tobacco entrance. Rudest people I’ve ever met in my life. This was 9pm on Sunday 25th of July. Two girls completely uninterested in their jobs. I come here almost every day for 2 years. They should be fired for their incompetence. I’m never shopping there ever again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The other day, I asked for help with self-scan. The person came and said he didn't know what to do. I asked for a colleague to come instead and he said that no one could come, even though there were enough employees in the supermarket and it was not busy at all (around 8PM). I figured out the solution my myself a minute later, just to say that it really wasn't that hard of a task. Very bad experience.
