Maarten (hoofdleraar) is zeer ervaren aikido leraar (3de dan) met veel kennis over technieken, etiquette en leuke weetje's (hoe moet je nou Japanse woorden uitspreken??? dat weet hij gewoon). Naast het trainen doen wij regelmatig ook leuke dingen samen buiten de dojo. Denk aan samen sushi eten, bbq, enz... Als jij aikido wilt leren, leuke mensen ontmoeten en fun hebben, moet je bij "Aikidojo Poort" zijn. A nice dojo where everyone helps and supports each other. Maarten (main teacher) is a very experienced aikido teacher (3rd dan) with a lot of knowledge about techniques, etiquette and fun facts (how should you pronounce Japanese words??? he just knows that). In addition to training, we regularly do fun things together outside the dojo. Think of eating sushi together, bbq, etc... If you want to learn aikido, meet nice people and have fun, "Aikidojo Gate" is the place to be.
R	Richard Vahl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maarten is een relatief jonge leermeester met een enorme passie voor Aikido. Hij heeft sinds een paar jaar deze Dojo opgezet en heeft daarmee een leuke club. Maarten heeft een breed netwerk en is bedreven in de Aikido bond. Maarten regelt met enige regelmaat gast docenten (soms ook vanuit het buitenland) die dan een variërende stage geven. Aikido is een veelzijdige vechtsport dat geen klassiek vecht element (zoals karate en judo) kent, al heeft het daar van oorsprong wel mee te maken. Aikido gaat vooral om jezelf en het verbeteren van de technieken. Daardoor is het voor iedereen geschikt. De veelzijdigheid zit hem in o.a. de aikido technieken zelf, de Japanse gebruiken en de taal en het gebruik van “wapens” zoals zwaard, stok en mes. Die zijn niet echt, maar van hout. De Dojo is goed bereikbaar en je kan er goed parkeren. Er zijn op 3 verschillende dagen les, waardoor je flexibel kunt trainen. Als je onverhoopt een les niet kunt, kan je dat op een ander moment inhalen. Kortom, een leuke sport in een goede Dojo. Maarten is a relatively young teacher with an enormous passion for Aikido. R	Roy Leenen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Erg fijn plek om Aikido te beoefenen. Met fijne mensen. Je kan er drie keer in de week trainen maar ook gewoon 1 keer in de week. Er is altijd een dag dat je er kan trainen. Daarnaast wordt er getraind met een professionele Sensei, Maarten. Inmiddels train ik er Aikido, maar ook mijn kinderen van 6 en 9 jaar oud. Het is namelijk ook een erg leuke sport voor de kinderen. Very nice place to practice Aikido. With nice people. You can train three times a week, but also just once a week. There is always a day that you can train there. In addition, there is training with a professional Sensei, Maarten. I now train Aikido there, but also my children of 6 and 9 years old. It is also a very fun sport for children.

V	Vizsy Ferenc on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I started at the Aikidojo poort 6 months ago. Everyone was very kind and helpful since the beginning. The community is very good. I really enjoy the training and I learn a lot. The sensei is not even master of aikido but he can teach that as well.

I am a Portuguese girl that recently moved to the Netherlands. I met Maarten as a chiropractor and I must say he is as good as a chiropractor as he is as an aikido teacher. Both things greatly improved my quality of life. I had done contemporary dance, aerial yoga and trapeze in the past. I didn't know how perfectly a martial art like aikido would fit in this sequence. I found the right amount of discipline, respect, kindness and beauty, while feeling progressively more empowered by learning how to defend myself. I am also learning Dutch and Japanese during the lessons, so my only regret is not having joined earlier. :)
